another tuesday...

... another night of procrastination.

sooo after exploring one of my new would-be-awesome-if-i-weren't-broke websites, Rent the Runway, i came across this little number, yours to rent for only $150! (retail value is $1,600, so i guess it's really not bad if you are so lucky to have that kind of dough to drop on a rental dress). but really, hervé leger, why must you tease me so? this would go PERFECTLY with the matte gray nail polish i'm on my quest for:
anywho, now that that fantasizing about clothing is over...

... i will fantasize about food.
from, guess where? my favorite (read: only known) small-scale food blog, Nosh and Tell. i absolutely love cream cheese frostings (unfortunately for the ol' waistline), chocolate (ditto), and now that it's november, the pumpkin stuff EVERYWHERE that is making me oh so happy. really though, it's an unhealthy obsession with all things pumpkin. i think it's a combination of the sweet pumpkin flavor itself, the spices that are almost almost incorporated, and the utter fall-ness it instills every time it's smelled or tasted. just makes me want to huddle under a blanket and curl up by the fireplace with hot cider (and a pumpkin bar) next to my puppies and watch some football with the fam.though i must admit, duke is pretty during fall

really though. i've been looking for a dessert to make for my family's annual thanksgiving gathering. i'm sure pumpkin pie will be there (durr), and there will be sweet potato casserole as a side. so, as much as i would love to, i'm attempting to stray away from the sweet orange veggie category, and hopefully find something (dare i say it?) relatively healthy at the same time. an eternal quest, it seems...
